Puppy Kindergarten
This five week class, meant for puppies 8-14 weeks of age, incorporates socialization as well as how to
work with your pup to set the stage for formal obedience training later on. This is a critical socialization
period for puppies and it is a small window of opportunity to build your pup’s confidence while
establishing rules, limitations and boundaries with positive only and socialization, all vital steps to
avoiding a fearful adult dog! Due to the playful, sensitive nature and short attention span of a puppy
they are not quite ready for strict obedience training. What is considered overly strict for a 3 month old
pup, is considered boring for a 6 month old dog who’s running down the block into traffic. Enjoy the
baby-stage with your new family member and allow them to thrive in a playful but structured
environment while they grow. Proper foundation, good communication, and socialization are the key
ingredients to a happy student puppy, and a well behaved adult dog. After all, don’t we all wish we
could go back to being a child? Let’s let them enjoy being a baby and leave the formal obedience
training until they are about 6 or 7 months old. Each session will be 60 minutes and will consist of a
maximum of 5-6 puppies.
Week 1 – Intro to food based training, Come, Sit, Look, Potty Training Q&A
Week 2 – Leave It, Drop It, Easy
Week 3 – Polite Walking on Leash, Off
Week 4 – Down, Review, Chaining Commands Together
Week 5 – Problem Solving, Graduation, Presentation of Adult programs.
In Home Training Program
This private training has been designed to teach you how to teach them! With a little time and a lot of
praise your dog will learn to follow commands on and off the leash. Our trainer will work with you one-
on-one and instruct you on how to train your pooch effectively. You will learn to use lots of affection
and praise to reinforce behavior that you'd like repeated, you'll never hit or yell at your friend. This
program requires the ability to practice with your dog for approximately 20 minutes, twice a day...every
day to get the desired result. This program is for dogs at least 7 months old. This program runs for 1
hour a week for 4-6 weeks in your home or anywhere you may be facing difficulties with your dog. At
the end of this program you will have a wonderful pet that will understand "sit", "stay", "come", "heel",
"down", "off", "leave it", and "place" while on or off the leash and even amidst distractions.
Good Doggy Board & Train Program
This program is has been designed for those who have little time to train their dog, are going on
vacation, are pregnant or have a dog that poses a physical challenge in training. Your dog will spend 2
to 3 weeks in my home while learning "sit", "stay", "come", "heel", "down", "off", "leave it", and "place"
while on or off the leash. Your dog will be socialized with other dogs & people and trained in quiet, calm
conditions as well as around distractions such as busy shopping malls, cars and squirrels. Your little
friend will be in loving and caring hands while they are trained 3 times a day. Their free time will be
spent snacking, going for walks and having play time. Upon your pooch's return, a trainer will give you
the first follow up lesson in your home. Follow up training sessions, where you will learn how to continue
the newly taught behaviors, are a vital training tool to make the training effective and long-lasting.
Space is limited in this class because we take only one dog at a time to ensure plenty of close and
personal attention.
